Yay Albums!

We are still trying to work out the details on packages.  What will be included, etc.  But I know for sure that we will be including printed books as albums.  I think they're a great product- easy for both me and the client.  I can lay the whole book out on the computer, send out proofs to the client and once it's approved, have it printed.  They're nice sized books- 10" X 13", with hardcovers and printed glossy dustjackets.  Here is a sample of what one will look like.

I think, after 11 years of marriage, it's time I had an album myself.  ;-)

Finally...

...something to look at besides 'us'.  We photographed my brother-in-law's wedding this past summer, and I just now getting around to sharing.  It was a nice wedding, Dennis was a groomsman and our daughter was a jr. bridesmaid.  I took a ton and a half images.  The best part though, was the bride had picked out some secondary locations she wanted to visit the next day.  There was a pond, a playground, and a covered bridge.  It was fabulous!  It was refreshing to have a client who was excited to try something new.  And the results show in the portraits.  See for yourself:

Greetings!  Welcome to the Phillips Photography wedding and portrait photography blog.  Allow me to introduce us: 

I'm Linda Phillips and I'll be your host.

My husband, Dennis, and I are photographers.  By day, we're school photographers, which is really just stand up comedians for second graders.  The rest of the time we're wedding photographers.  Dennis does the event photography, I assist and do any Photoshopping afterwards.  We make a good team.

We've been married going on eleven years, and we've worked together for most of that time.  Dennis has been photographing weddings for a little over 20 years now.

I debated for quite some time how I wanted us to be represented on the web.  How did I want potential customers to see us?  I finally realized the best way was to show who we are:  Friendly, helpful creative photographers.  Most of the couples we meet as clients, end up as friends.  I figure there are enough stuffy, overpriced, egomanical photographers out there.  I hear a lot of stories about photographers at weddings who were unfriendly and inflexible.  We're not.  So if you're looking for a photographer who will thoroughly cover your wedding without placing demands on you, contact us.
